eCommerce Business Development / Client Service Manager

Job Summary:

To lead the Business Development & key client management function, in order to ensure value-add and to drive growth and expansion.  To execute the Ecommerce growth agenda through client acquisition and management.  In time, to develop a local client management & NBD team.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Own annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Propose and align the brand sales customer strategy
  • Manage relationship and flow of work between key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the India COE to execute work for Clients  

New Business and Client Development

  • Collaborate with leadership to secure, retain and grow client base
  • Actively manage the mix of Clients as well as listings, including client, customer and product matrix
  • Be aware of Smollan’s portfolio of offerings and capabilities across service lines to be able to effectively position it to client leadership when necessary
  • Manage the relevant sales channel relationships at a local level (Daraz, etc.)
  • Look to develop further digital sales channels in the region
  • Participate in conferences/industry events and interactions to lead the enhancement of public positioning of Smollan’s eCommerce offerings

Managing Accounts

  • Manage (and Build) team of Account Managers – whenin time when Relevant
  • Manage delegation of clients and work within Accounts Management team – In Time
  • Support or lead annual customer business account plans with delivery team and execute these plans
  • Build and nurture senior management level business relationships within the account(s)
  • Ensure reporting back to clients is executed on time and professionally

Customer Development

  • Manage and build relationships with key customers (Daraz)
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Drive a customer-centric omnichannel approach and build a strong relationship with all relevant stakeholders at customer for categories
